Our Auntie Marge

Created by Jennifer 2 years ago

We are all so sad to say goodbye to our Auntie Marge, but find comfort in the happy memories we have of her. We hope Uncle Keith and Suzy can find comfort too.

Auntie Marge loved all things sparkly, girlie and pretty. She believed you should take pride in your appearance ( uncle Keith excluded). Unlike my mum, she loved getting her hair done, and make up and shopping. So I love her for that.

As a teenager, Auntie Marge would take me shopping for hours to buy trendy clothes, and took me to the hairdressers for my 1st perm, which was the height of fashion at the time. It might seem superficial but Auntie Marge wanted me to feel good about myself, and I love her for that.

Auntie Marge once told me that I could believe in whatever and whoever I wanted to believe in (when Suzy had serious doubts about the existence of Father Christmas). And I love her for that.

Auntie Marge loved Christmas and all the sparkle that comes with it.
But most of all she loved all of us. Keith, Suzy and the boys, her brothers and sisters, her nieces and nephews and their children. The family being together.
She had a special bond with Annie, despite us living on the other side of the world. And we love her for that.

We are so grateful that we got to spend some special time with our Auntie Marge this August. She wanted to see the kids having fun, and we love her for that too.

Auntie Marge, forever in our hearts.

Love always,
Jen, Tim, Annie & Alfie x
